My favorite time of the year is watching the ice go out. By the looks of the black ice this morning and the open water along the shore, we only have a few days left to go.

Last Saturday I was honored to be a presenter at the Minnesota Book Awards ceremony, sponsored by the Friends of the St. Paul Public Library and emceed by MPR’s Stephanie Curtis.  It’s great to be a part of a literary community that celebrates books!
